About Our Location

Michelmersh is 3 miles north of Romsey in the Test Valley.  Southampton, Winchester, Salisbury and The New Forest are all within easy reach.  Mottisfont Abbey and The Hillier Arboretum are within 5 minutes' drive.

Romsey is a small market town with a surprising choice of good restaurants.  It has a department store, Waitrose and Aldi supermarkets and Boots. There are several take-aways which are handy for those who just fancy a night in front of the TV.  (You are welcome to use our plates and cutlery.)

Although the village itself has no shops, there is a 24 hour garage with a shop, cashpoint etc. a 5 minute drive away. The Malthouse pub is our nearest on the A3057 at Timsbury.  Michelmersh and Timsbury are more or less the same village, sharing the village hall, but not the cricket team!  There are a variety of pleasant walks with lovely views.

We are half a mile from the main road - it is extremely quiet and there are no street lights or pavements. Torches supplied on request!
